Powerplay’s crew and their families flew in for a “Palooza”. And what a Palooza it was! Club members and friends of the couple were treated to trips up and down Seven Mile Beach onboard Powerplay and a lucky few got to race in the Good Friday Round the Island Race. PowerPlay set a new record of 4 hours and 27 minutes for a circumnavigation of the island, smashing Resolution’s benchmark of 7 hours 13 minutes set only last year. Skipper Ned Collier-Wakefield felt that there is still plenty of room for improvement on that time, so maybe there will be more challenges in the future.
